While Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks are locked in on the 2022-23 NBA season, Young connected with adidas during the offseason to prepare the launch of his second collaborative collection with the Three Stripes. Launching just before the regular season, Young joins his star peers in introducing a new signature sneaker, the adidas Trae Young 2. Following the success of his first collection, he pulls inspiration from the classic Adilette slide with the design of his sneaker’s sequel.This time around, the duo has brought back some of the Trae Young 1’s key features such as BOOST and combined them with elements like the shoe’s new ultramodern lacing system, built for the swift movement Young is known for. Additional specifications of the court-ready sneaker include Lightstrike midsole cushioning, a laceless forefoot and adaptive fit SCK360 knit upper. Several vibrant colorways are slated to kick off the shoe’s launch, with color palettes that prominently feature hits of neon green, electric purple and sky blue. However, for those looking for a calmer colorway, Young was spotted in a clean gray and white look during this year’s NBA Media Day.Release for the next chapter of Trae Young and adidas’ partnership is scheduled to take place November 1 via adidas and select adidas Basketball retailers.
