A Kentucky Wildcats-esque mix of blue and white is one of Nike, Inc.’s most tried-and true color schemes, and now Jordan Brand is revisiting it on a new women’s Air Jordan 1 Mid. With a familiar mixture of sporty blue and crisp white, this mid-cut Air Jordan 1 harkens back to the mid ’80s by replicating the color scheme of memorable OG styles like the Air Jordan 1 “Storm Blue” plus Nike Sportswear’s Dunk High and Dunk Low “Kentucky.” Apart from all the history and fanfare around Kentucky-style while and blue sneakers, they’re simple in design and this AJ 1 Mid is no exception. Toeboxes, quarters and collars take on white leather with mudguards, eyestays, Swooshes, collar flaps and heels providing bright blue leather for contrast. For further branding, a gray ball-and-wings logo is stamped on the lateral collar flap and a blue Jumpman appears on the white nylon tongue’s tag. White laces, white midsoles and blue outsoles round off the look.If you’re looking to “rock Kentucky blue on these h*es” — like Drake said in “Scholarships,” a cut from he and Future’s 2015 joint mixtape What a Time to be Alive — you’ll be able to do so when this Air Jordan 1 Mid releases later in the year.Modern-day basketball footwear more your style?
