This ASICS GEL-LYTE V Pack Is Inspired by Japan’s Spring Flowers

ASICS is going full throttle this year with its multitude of footwear projects as collaborations with the likes of Kiko Kostadinov, Cecilie Bahnsen and Matin Kim have been introduced along with a plethora of inline offerings. And as spring approaches, the Japanese sportswear label is keeping this momentum going strong by introducing a new ASICS GEL-LYTE V that’s inspired by the flowers that bloom during springtime in its native country. The new assemblage includes four new variations, all of which are designed with neutral tones that cover its perforated toe boxes and quarter panels. This allows the colorful overlays, tongues, tiger stripes and heel molds to stand out as the pair express the vivid color combinations that can be found on wisterias, cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, nemophilas and mustard blossoms. Tongues split their branding between an ASICS logo on the right side while the left shoe bears a family crest the references each respective flower.Interested in copping a pair? Check out a look at each design in the gallery above, and note that retailers like atmos Tokyo have them available now for ¥15,400 (approx. $115 USD).Elsewhere in sneaker news, grab a first look at OTTO 958’s upcoming ASICS footwear series.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
