We’ve seen Dove wipes turned into slides, hats made of mushrooms, assumably unworn underwear turned into tote bags, and even caution tape reworked into squeaky jumpsuits (poor Kim K.).
I thought I’d seen all of the wildly whimsical upcycled pieces there’d ever be. That is until I came across Rose In Good Faith‘s slip-on shoes made of rubber repurposed from dildos.
Yes, you read that right. Rose In Good Faith’s first in-house footwear silhouette is comprised entirely of unused and discarded sex toys.

Sure, the LA-based brand has worked with the likes of Trippie Redd, Polo G, and even Ed Hardy. But the dildo shoe is a world apart from co-signing a rapper or tattoo artist.
So, Rose In Good Faith called in the pleasure product producer Doc Johnson, seizing its defective dildos and melting them down into thermoplastic elastomer. Thus, the dildo shoe was born!
Simply put, Rose In Good Faith’s shoes emulate a three-way entanglement between Crocs, Balenciaga‘s injected footwear, and YEEZY Foam Runners.
The slip-on shoe boasts a familiar-looking external prehistoric mold crafted of recycled EVA plastic rubber. Inside, a cork insole and arch support give the shoe “daily comfort,” as Rose In Good Faith asserts.
Highsnobiety‘s Instagram manager backs this claim, appreciating the firm fit of the semi-pleasurable shoes.
It’s safe to say that you get what you pay for with these $130 shoes. Though these certainly aren’t luxury kicks, they are pretty comfy.
@highsnobiety We got our hands on @Rose In Good Faith’s first shoe made from unused d1ldos. 🍆 #snobtok #footwear #highsnobiety
Though the shoe’s actual name is “Plastic Soul,” Highsnobiety readers have given it nearly about every innuendo moniker under the sun, from “diltoes” to “SUStainable.”
Honestly, I’m a little concerned that an unhealthy amount of our Instagram comments wanted secondhand, unwashed, and even vibrating versions of the shoes.
People were even asking what the shoes smell like. Trolling or not, I’m praying for y’all.

Since so many were curious if the shoes carried a particular stench, several of us Highsnobs did a legit smell check especially for you (we drew the line at the taste test request).
The verdict? Sorry to break it to you, but the only odor coming from Rose In Good Faith’s shoes is the sweet smell of reworked plastic.
For those still intrigued despite a scent letdown, Rose In Good Faith’s “Plastic Soul” shoe is still up for grabs on the brand’s website, the Webster, and H. Lorenzo.
Note: please act in good faith (and good sense) and use your dildo shoes responsibly.
