The New Balance Allagash Rainier Low Returns In “Glazed Ginger” Colorway

Last year, New Balance marked the return of its hiking-inspired Rainier silhouette with an influx of explore-ready colorways that ended its six-year hiatus. The brand’s collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore saw an uproar for the sleek model and is building on this to reintroduce its low-top cousin, the New Balance Allagash. The model initially launched in the 1980s and has since been lost in the New Balance archives. Returning in its original “Glazed Ginger” colorway, premium brown leather overlays run through the mudguards, medial panels, ankles, and heel counters with a smooth finish, while “Classic Crimson” notes accent canvas underpinnings with a gloomy identity. Quintessential “NB” branding is debossed into the quarters, with additional markings hitting the black tongue badges. Metal clasps replace basic eyelets for a secure on-foot experience, completing the vintage pair with black rubber bottoms that feature grip-enhancing Vibram outsoles. Take a closer look at the New Balance Allagash “Glazed Ginger” in the gallery above. The shoe will drop via New Balance and select retailers on March 29 for $160 USD. Elsewhere, the MSCHF BWD can be worn from the front and back.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
