London-based Morley’s chicken shop is collaborating with eBay UK for a sneaker pop-up store that will allow sneakerheads to get their hands on exclusive silhouettes for the original retail price rather than the much higher resell value.By offering a £1 charity raffle on eBay, people can submit their names to be in with the chance of purchasing a pair of OG sneakers as eBay looks to skip the resell market to help hyped shoes make their way back onto people’s feet. Along with the available sneakers, the pop-up also comes with Morley’s famous food and an exclusive chat from broadcaster, host, and media executive Julie Adenuga who will be unboxing trade secrets from the sneaker industry. At the store, eBay is offering the Air Jordan 1 Low x Travis Scott for £51, Off White Jordan 2’s for £84, and and many more at their original price.Speaking about the event, Julie Adenuga said: “Sneakers have always been an integral part of my wardrobe, and their impact on the culture is undeniable. It’s mad to see how much people struggle to secure the shoes they want, so eBay is solving a major challenge by making sneakers accessible without the extra stress. People shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to curate a sneaker collection that they love. I can’t wait to explore how we got here with true OGs at the sneaker store very soon.”The eBay x Morley’s pop-up store will be open on June 18 at Morley’s Brick Lane.
