With 600-plus exhibitors on board, Surf Expo (this Thur.-Sat. at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL) is forecasting a radical show spanning industry-leading brands and buyers along with numerous educational opportunities and networking events.
“We are thrilled with the extensive list of brands and retailers who are attending the show this week,” states Surf Expo Senior Vice President Roy Turner. “We are creating an optimum environment for brands and retailers to conduct business, while also providing plenty of opportunities for the social interactions that are so important for building lasting business relationships.”
Of the 600-plus exhibitors participating 165 are new to the September show. Notable brands in attendance include Billabong, Huk, Jetty, Katin, Manhattan Beachwear, Marine Layer, Old Guys Rule, O’Neill, Puffin Coolers, Quiksilver, Roxy, RVCA, Salty Crew, Sperry, Tahe Outdoors, Tommy Bahama, Tori Richard, Vissla, Volcom and YETI. Retail buyers from a wide range of key accounts will also be out in force including Dillard’s, Hawaiian Island Creations, Hi-Tech Surf Sports, Palmetto Moon, Ritz Carlton Properties, Sandals Resorts International, Sun Diego, The House, Tyler’s, Zumiez and many more.
Key events include a keynote address by Shaun Tomson (8 a.m. Fri.), a world champion surfer, author, entrepreneur and acclaimed speaker, who will discuss “Transformation After Disruption – The Code to Ride the Next Wave.” Other events include the Surf Expo Industry Party presented by Body Glove (6 p.m. Fri.), many brand-sponsored happy hours, free educational seminars and multiple fashion shows.
