She’s moving on up. Rack Room Shoes has promoted 19-year company veteran Jennifer Scantland to Midwest/Tennessee Regional Manager. Based in Memphis, TN, Scantland covers stores in West Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas. She joined Rack Room Shoes as a part-time associate in nearby Knoxville. She was also an Assistant Manager before being promoted and relocating to Nashville to serve as District Manager in 2009 for the Charlotte, NC-based, 500-plus stores family footwear chain.
“We are pleased to have Jennifer step into this role,” states Whit McConnell, vice president of store operations for Rack Room Shoes. “Jennifer brings enthusiasm, industry experience and knowledge to share with her team as we continue to evolve and improve how we serve our customers and communities.
Scantland loves interacting with and connecting with people in her stores. She is excited about the chance to mentor new and existing team members. “We will be learning together, collaborating together and doing great things for the company together,” Scantland says. “I am delighted to take on this new role and thankful for the opportunity to continue my growth with Rack Room Shoes.”
