After releasing a staggering 50 Dunk colorways with Nike, Virgil Abloh now has his eyes set upon further advancing his catalog with the folks over at Jordan Brand. Up next for the luxury and streetwear designer is a two-piece Off-White™ collection that involves the Air Jordan 2. “Black/Blue” and “White/Red” colorways are in order, the former being the first pair to be unveiled by way of official imagery. All in all, the kicks are styled with a more or less understated outfit, but it features modernized details that show off Abloh’s unique design language. A solid black hue is utilized most on these low-slung kicks as it wraps over the leather base, tongues, lower heel pieces and the interior liners, while a bold blue hue styles up the wings logos on the tongues, the laces, trimming on the mid-foot and the ribbed heel panels. As usual, his traditional Helvetica branding is printed onto the medial sides and he attaches a hang tag to the laces, but he also spruces up the retro offering with Michael Jordan’s actual signature on the quarters and midsoles that come with a pre-crumbled aesthetic. Additionally, the shoes come come packaged in a special cream box that has punched out holes and a creamy exterior. While no info has been confirmed by Nike just yet, it’s likely that these will see an official launch in the coming weeks.Interested in more footwear news?
