It’s been 30 years since Tinker Hatfield unleashed his design for the iconic Air Jordan 6 model, and 2021 has brought us some striking colorways for its anniversary celebrations. However, it appears as though the classic silhouette will be carrying over its momentum into the new year as the Air Jordan 6 “Midnight Navy” will finally be making its glorious return to the shelves. The last time this colorway dropped was in 2000, and it hasn’t seen a retro comeback since. The palette for this impending release is straightforward and understated. The base is treated with smooth leather and features its traditional perforations atop the forefoot, quarter panels and collars, all of which are done up in a crispy white tone. The kicks’ titular accents do most of the talking here as they cascade over the Jumpman insignias that are embedded into the throat and lower heels, lace toggles, tongues and the spoilers. Midsole molds down below also come supplied with the same two-toned motif, and come rounded out with an icy, translucent outsole.Early reports have these scheduled to launch sometime in March 2022 in both men’s and grade school sizes. In case you were looking for more sneaker news, here’s a further look at the Off-White™’s Air Jordan 2 Low collection.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
