New Balance tends to give its specific lifestyle silhouettes a strong run every year, and 2022 has been quite the eventful one for its 990v3. Between collaborations are general releases, the model has been introduced in a buffet of new colorways, and the latter is slated to grow with this new “Sea Salt” entry. The installment is being released as part of Teddy Santis’ — founder of Aimé Leon Dore — first official collection as a creative director of the sportswear imprint. If you’ve followed along the design journey of Santis, then you’ll know that he prefers minimal-yet-striking color palettes, and that’s exactly what he employs on this new iteration. Mesh underlays and a majority of the leather overlays are doused in its “Sea Salt” hue while smaller notes of “Rain Cloud” hits pop up across the collars, toe boxes and N logos. Further contrasting notes can be found by way of the textured black tongues that are paired with red New Balance branding as well as the midsoles which feature a creamy mold towards the back which adds a slight hint of a vintage feel.If you’re interested in copping, these will be released on March 26 for $210 USD via New Balance.Elsewhere in sneaker news, New Balance has unveiled its collection for Grey Day.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
