ENGINEERED GARMENTS is widely known for its well-tailored workwear, sportswear and outdoor clothing items, but it will occasionally tap into the footwear space to lend its creative hand to various sneaker brands. We’ve seen the NY-based imprint work with Dr. Martens and Suicoke this year, and now it’s going to join forces with Reebok for a sleek Zig Kinetica 2.5 collaboration. To spice up its visual presentation up, Daiki Suzuki’s imprint dresses up the kicks with a detachable shroud that is crafted with mesh and nylon that covers the quarters and heels. Given that the piece extends above the kicks, it also enhances them with a mid-cut look and feel. The top halves of the kicks are made with a blend of “Dark Brown” mesh as well as glossy black patent leather overlays. Extra pops of color can be seen through the Vibram branding that is positioned towards the heel as well as the “Classic Burgundy” accents that show face atop the tongues and heels.Standard chunky Zig Kinetica sole units are engineered with brown and black color-blocking to complete its arrangement. Retailers like Asphalt Gold are set to launch these come October 14 for €179 (approx. $175 USD).In other news, Nao Serati and Reebok celebrate South Africa’s Pride Month with a new collection.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
