Nike and its Nike SB label tend to draw the attention of sneakerheads across the globe for its plethora of collaborative projects. Lately, the skateboarding division has impressed fans with a two-pronged capsule with HUF as well as the official reveal of the eBay x Nike SB Dunk Low “Sandy Bodecker” colorway, and now it’s making us aware of its newest music-centric team-up with hip hop duo Run the Jewels. Killer Mike and EL-P’s first iteration was teased earlier in the month, and now we have an early glimpse at the assemblage’ SB Dunk High installment. To match up with the artists’ high-energy flows and bass-jumping beats, the Nike SB design team implemented flamboyant design details onto their kicks. Overlays are materialized with pony hair and dyed in a bright fuchsia tone to match with the laces while the toe boxes, quarters and collars are fitted in black. To call out the group’s moniker in a literal sense, Nike reworks the Swooshes with tonal jeweled textures and adds metallic gold jewel lace deubres. Pops of neon yellow also appear on the insoles, heel tabs and outsoles.More release details have yet to the confirmed, but these are rumored to release on Killer Mike’s birthday, April 20, 2023.
