British footwear imprint Dr. Martens has tapped Italian retailer Slam Jam for a new collaboration. Marking the entities’ debut effort, the collaboration merges workwear styles with electronic music subcultures.Taking center stage is Dr. Martens’ 1461 shoe that has been reimagined with subtle construction worker uniform detailing. The shoe appears in smooth black leather with custom molded vamps and sidewalls that channel protective footwear styles. Elsewhere on the silhouette are black and white laces that connect to the sidewalls, reflective detailing and screw-off aglets. Finishing off the shoe is Slam Jam’s (Un)corporate Uniforms branding and a co-branded insole.Check out the gallery above for a look at the show. The Dr. Martens x Slam Jam collaboration releases on October 20 on Dr. Marten’s website, Slam Jam’s website and in Slam Jam stores. In related news, take a detailed look at the Stray Rats x New Balance 580 collection.
