Clarks has never strayed too far from the realm of collaborations, and to get the buzz brewing for Miami Art Week, it’s teaming up with Compound to release an exclusive Wallabee “Floor Seats” installment. Its the latest piece to add to its collaborative catalog that, in 2022, has already seen partners such as Bodega, GCDS and Liam Gallagher utilize their creative talents. The beauty is in the subtle details of the shoe. Set Free Richardson — founder of Compound — drew inspiration from vintage leather basketballs for this project and wanted to nod to the sport in a luxe way by executing the uppers with a dark brown beeswax leather build. In terms of branding, you can point out Compound branding on the lateral heels as well as the imprint’s “7” symbols atop the custom FOBs to nod to its hats that represent spirituality, intuition, free-thinking and creativity. Clarks hits are also present and debossed into the hangtags. The kicks are part of a larger initiative that starts out with the launch of a Street Seams NFT that dropped on the NFT marketplace platform Bubblehouse that features artwork from BK the Artist. To get your hands on the pair, you must either purchase the NFT or cop them through UNKWN in Miami during the Art Basel festivities.Elsewhere in sneaker news peep a closer look at Clarks’ ATL Trek Combi.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
