atmos’ Motion-Blurred adidas Consortium EQT PROTO Is Almost Here

Ever since its birth in 2005 to celebrate the Superstar’s 35th anniversary, adidas Consortium has produced some of the Three Stripes’ most coveted sneakers — and now it puts the spotlight on the 30th anniversary of its ’90s EQT line, notably enlisting atmos to rework the Equipment Prototype. The anniversary celebration comprises 16 different installments that see a different brand overhaul four sneakers, with the likes of Sneaker Politics and solebox also putting their spin on the Equipment Prototype. For atmos, it renames the pair as the EQT PROTO, giving the sneaker a complete rework inspired by the concept of speed. As a result, the sneaker combines a mixture of lightweight materials and suede to create an upper that sees a yellow and grey-toned camouflage on the toe and heel — with the latter sporting embroidered dual-branding — alongside a suede black mid-section for support that overlays a motion blur mid-panel that’s emblazoned with adidas EQT branding on it.A mesh tongue with Consortium and adidas Equipment branding hits up the right and left shoe respectively, while atmos and Equipment tongue dubraes can be found below. For those interested in the pair, head over to atmos’ website to enter the lottery to be in with a chance of copping them before the draw closes on October 1, and for those lucky winners, atmos will also be gifting a history book on adidas EQT. The sneakers are set to cost ¥18,700 JPY (approximately $168 USD).In case you missed it, here’s a closer look at the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Monarch.”Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
