HUF’s Nike Air Max 1 Collaboration Is Getting a Reissue in 2024

HUF and Nike’s relationship dates back to when the former was solely a San Francisco-based boutique posted up on Sutter St. Over the years, the two parties have collaborated on multiple footwear projects that involve silhouettes like the Air Force 1, Nike SB Dunk Low, Nike SB Dunk High, Air Trainer 1 and more. And next year, the duo is rumored to link back up to give one of its earliest offerings a reissue: the HUF x Nike Air Max 1.Originally released in 2004, the pair is said to return in celebration of its 20th anniversary. Images of the retro pair have yet to surface, but it’s likely that they will be returning with all of its original design cues including the “Dark Apple” accents that referenced HUF’s primary accent color, along with various shades of gray that alternate across the leather uppers and mudguards and suede overlays. When the original drop in ’04 went down, the HUF team released 24 pairs of a Quickstrike version that was ornamented with the Benny Gold-designed HUF SF skyline embroidered on the back and a baseball icon on the interior to nod to the San Francisco Giants.
